Larry Louis Lake, age 73, of Corsicana, TX, passed away on August 24, 2026, at Navarro Regional Hospital. Larry was born on July 30, 1953, in Bolivar, TN, to Lewis Edward and Ada Lee Lake (née Woods). He graduated from Bolivar Central High School in 1971 and later dedicated 38 years to a distinguished career on the railroad. Larry hired out with the Missouri Pacific Railroad in 1976 and faithfully transitioned with the company to Union Pacific Railroad in 1987, where he worked until his retirement in 2014.

Larry was a gregarious presence who loved life. He cherished being with his family, was a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and found contentment working in his yard.

Larry is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Phillis (née Cook), and his children, Daniel, age 40, of Dallas, and Kayli, age 35, of Corsicana, who will remember him as an honorable and steadfast father. The youngest of his siblings, Larry is also survived by his four elder sisters: Mildred Lake-McCollum of Bolivar, TN; Earnestine Lake-Bills of Bolivar, TN; Mary Irene Lake-Ward of Kansas City, MO; and Patricia Lake-Morrow of Bolivar, TN. Affectionately known by his family as “Uncle Bae Bae,” he will be remembered as a jovial presence by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Lewis (1960), and his mother, Ada (2006).
