Evanger Jackson Conley, of Palestine, Texas, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, at the age of 72. Evanger was born on the 23rd day of March 1950 in Montalba, Texas, where she was raised.

Evanger was educated in the school system in Montalba, Texas and Palestine, Texas. She later continued her education in a vocational training program, Job Corps, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She moved from Guthrie, Oklahoma to Fort Worth, Texas where she managed a shelter for the homeless.

Evanger married the late John Floyd Arthur Conley, Sr., June 9, 1972, and seven children were born from this union. The family lived in Palestine, Texas. She professed her Faith in Christ at an early age and joined House of Prayer Church in Athens, Texas. Evanger's dream was to raise a large family, and she devoted many years of her life as a homemaker.

She loved to read her Bible, Minister in singing praises to the Lord, praying for and with others, spending time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, and friend, always thinking of others first. "To know her was to love her."

She was preceded in death by her parents Isaac Jackson and Pearlie Mae Thomas Jackson of Montalba, Texas; brother, James Jackson, of Palestine, Texas; sons, Jason Conley of Palestine, Texas, and Justin Conley, of Palestine, Texas.

Evanger leaves to cherish her loving memory; daughters, Melanie Conley, of Palestine, Texas, Amanda Reeves and husband Delbert Reeves, of Tucker, Texas; sons, John Floyd Arthur Conley, Jr., and wife Farria Conley, of Atlanta, Georgia, Jeremy Conley, of Palestine, Texas, and Jonathan Conley, Sr., and wife Amanda Conley, of Palestine, Texas; 35 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, six sisters, one brother, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Evanger Jackson Conley is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Antioch Baptist Church, 907 E. Murchison St. Palestine, Texas, 75801 with Reverend Roy Duncan officiating. Interment will follow the service in Providence Cemetery in Montalba, Texas.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Cameron Jackson, Jaylon Conley, Christopher Thompson, Terrance Lewis, Kenneth Reed, and Patrick Farris.
